Statement of Faith
We believe in the authority of Scripture, the Bible, which is God's inspired, infallible, and in-errant Word. It is the inspired source for knowledge about God, as well as the authoritative guide for all matters of belief and conduct. When God draws individuals by His Holy Spirit to faith in Jesus Christ, He indwells them with His Holy Spirit, which results in a true righteous life.
We believe in the existence of a triune God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This God is self-existent; eternal, unchanging. omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscience, source of all wisdom, invisible, holy, righteous, merciful, loving and the Word.
We believe God created the universe from nothing and He is the sovereign ruler over His creation which includes both human and angelic beings.
We believe that man is a physical and spiritual being who is created in God's image. Because of man's sin, fellowship with God was severed. The extent of sin is so great that its effects continue to this very day by cruelty, suffering and death. All people are sinners separated from God, and cannot see the Kingdom of God except by God's mercy and grace through faith in Christ alone and not by any good works that man could ever do.
We believe that by God's grace, the Word became flesh. Jesus Christ, Who is fully God and fully man, was sent to save us from our bondage to sin. We believe that Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died in our place on the cross an atoning death for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven where He is the only mediator between God and man. Jesus Christ will one day return to judge the world and deliver His people.
We believe that personal faith in Christ alone is the means by which mankind can escape eternal damnation and judgment. Faith in Christ alone is accomplished through the work of the Holy Spirit for the individual's new birth and growth to maturity. There is no new birth without the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the church is God's ordained institution headed by Christ. The church is made up of all believers, and is organized for worship, for fellowship, for the administration of the sacraments, for spiritual growth and support; and for evangelizing the world. The work of the Holy Spirit results in the Church's constant renewal in truth, wisdom, faith, holiness, love, power, and mission.
We believe that God will fully manifest His kingdom when He establishes a new heaven and new earth, in which He will be glorified forever and exclude all evil, suffering, and death
